Overview
Hearth AI is designed with privacy as a core principle. All language model inference runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your conversations, documents, or personal data on any external server.
Data Collection
Hearth AI does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- No analytics or tracking SDKs are included.
- No user accounts or sign-in are required.
- No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.
On-Device Data
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally:
- Conversations: Chat history is stored on-device using SwiftData.
- Models: Downloaded GGUF model files are stored in your app's local storage.
- Documents: Any documents imported for Q&A are processed and stored locally.
- Conversation Memory: The personal knowledge base is stored locally and can be exported as JSON.
Network Usage
The app connects to the internet only for:
- Hugging Face Hub: Browsing and downloading GGUF models. No personal data is sent during these requests.
Third-Party Services
Hearth AI does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
