RHCE Series: DNS

Install bind:

yum -y install bind

Setup caching-only name server with forwarders.

Open up the firewall:

iptables -I INPUT -p udp --dport 53 -j ACCEPT
service iptables save

Start the service and make it persistent at boot:

service named start
chkconfig named on
